  50 Raw

  50 Raw is an e-learning startup, aiming to revolutionise how high school students in Victoria learn online, bringing beautiful, modern technology into the industry. It was founded and developed by 3 high-school students, including myself.

  We built 50Raw because we believed there is still so much potential for technology to have in the education sector. Unsatisfied by the current solutions we were given in our high-school years, we wanted to create a new platform which leveraged the abilities of modern technology - such as interactive animations and AI - to deliver a personalised learning experience to our students, helping them develop habits of lifelong learning.

  While we currently accept students into our platform, we are still under rapid development, and hope to integrate ourselves into the classroom, and help more students reach their full potential.

  Ovio

  During the Fellowship, I worked closely with members from Ovio in order to deliver various features to WFP's PRISM. Impressed by my work, I was given the opportunity to stick around with Ovio after the Fellowship and continue to work on their various projects.

  One of them was their Open Source Discovery Platform which allows developers and companies find and track Open Source projects. I also contributed to Aqualink, a coral reef monitoring application aiming to help marine scientists better track endangered reefs.

  MLH Fellowship - WFP's PRISM

  The MLH Fellowship is a 3 month long program designed to help aspiring software engineers get their career started by contributing to large open-source projects such as React and Jest.

  Out of over 20,000 applicants, I was selected to be part of the very first class, consisting of 150 students.

  Thanks to the Fellowship, I managed to grow my software engineering skills at a rapid pace, learn from some incredibly skilled individuals, and make significant open source contributions to The World Food Programme's PRISM, a mapping & analysis tool used by decision makers to better decide where to focus their humanitarian efforts.

  Workplace Utilisation Analysis Tool

  For my final development project in high-school, we were required to orchestrate a piece of software for a business within a few months. Knowing the potential this opportunity provided, I decided to aim big, and put myself into the deep-end and develop a complex 'monitor' tracking software for the reputable company, BGIS, allowing managers to understand how their differing types of monitors are being utilised within their workplace.
  
  Despite these complexities which forced me to learn entirely new technologies within the span of weeks, I managed to pull it off, developing WUAT, a panel and complimentary employee client suite which tracks and reports on the monitor usage of employees within different floors and spaces of the workplace.
  
  I am incredibly grateful for the members of BGIS who were willing to take me in and give me a chance to prove myself, despite still being in high-school. I've learnt an incredible amount about development for larger organisations which includes security concerns, agile software development and so much more. I hope WUAT continues to serve them for more years to come.

  PokéFind

  PokéFind was one of my most dedicated and most influential clients. I began in 2017 and have worked with them for almost 2 years. I've helped bring to market several network features for their game server including an 'auction house' while also creating for them a large scale game dubbed PokéFactions. It has taken the majority of my time at PokéFind and has a lot planned for its future. Before taking on this position, I had little experience with working in teams and building large scale software. Working with PokéFind has allowed me to learn key project management and collaboration skills when working on scalable software.

  Project Top Down

  Project Top Down was one of my very first projects I undertook with some friends when I was starting out with game development. With almost a year of devlopment, Project Top Down was an interactive multiplayer 2D top down shooter which ran on desktop and mobile. After the project was abandoned due to the disruption of Box Cubed (the name of our team at the time), it still holds a special place in my heart. It taught me quite a lot through its unsolvable and frustrating problems it brought to our team.

  Magnus Designs

  Magnus Designs was one of my hardest failures. After an idea turned into a dream, my team aspired to be professional designers, and this was our website. With marketing being expensive for a bunch of young students and a disaster for our first client, it never turned out to be. However, this project forced me to learn web design on a scale I never have while also opening me to several other important concepts such as SEO. Before Magnus, I never had the intention to turn web into one of my key skills, but now, I've never been more grateful for the opportunity Magnus Designs gave us.

  Touch Particles

  This project was one of my the JS projects I've made. After seeing the power of JS through several content creators, I was pushed to try use some of my early math concepts (the unit circle in this example) to test out my knowledge. It makes me wonder if mathematics got me interested in programming or vice versa.

  VCE Exam Calendar Importer

  Over one weekend, being a VCE student, I was already making preparations for my finals by entering my exam times into my calendar. After about 3 exams in, I got bored, and wondered how cool it would be if an application existed that did this laborious task for you. So, instead of spending 10 minutes entering my exams into my calendar, I spent 10 hours creating this application.
  Inefficient? Yes
  Fun? Definitely.
  The project put my web scraping skills to the test, forcing me to find a way to scrape all the exam data from the official VCAA site to a file which I could use to create calendar files with. The website was received well by my peers and saved a few minutes from their day. Hopefully all those minutes collectively add up to 10 hours.
